Meet Ayree

Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, I moved to Lafayette in 2019 to attend the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Fueled by my love for art and a slightly problematic Celsius addiction, I completed my B.F.A. in Graphic Design in 2023.

In true Capricorn fashion, I am pragmatic, ambitious, and hardworking. My passion for creating, mixed with my desire to connect with the world around me, gives me a cutting edge in any design task. I take most of my inspiration from the art and atmosphere I was exposed to while growing up in New Orleans.

With a wide background in agency work, in-house design, and non-profits, I combine creativity, strategy, and expertise to I bring a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to every project. My vibrant personality and hardworking nature, combined with my creative approach, ensure I deliver remarkable results in any design challenge.

My pieces are bold and exaggerated in execution, with a huge focus on the feminine form in many of them. I tend to use vibrant colors in my paintings and high contrast in my charcoal and pastel pieces, creating a unique and stylized way of mark-making that reminds me of home. This theme also carries over into my design projects, emphasizing colors and patterns that reflect my bold identity. I find that an overemphasis on the highlights and contours of forms is an expression of my own personality.
